A few Christmas cards

CTMH Evensong Papers, All Decked Out (November SOTM)

CTMH Notebook papers and All Decked Out stamps

CTMH Aspen papers, Frosty Friends and Festive Thoughts

One reason we moved to Idaho...

Seasons. I know I've said it before, but here's the proof. We went over to Katherine Albertson park yesterday to take pictures of fall in all its glory. We weren't the only ones--there were tons of people there taking photos--both amutuer and prfessional. We even saw a wedding. Between the fall colors and the temperatures in the 70's, it was a perfect day to be at the park. Here are a few of my favorites:

This one is my favorite. Love Austin's arm around his brother and the reflection in the water.

Ahhhh...brotherly love

And for those who have been asking for pics of my new haircut, here you go:

And one more. We went to the dinner auction for the school I work at last night. The theme was a 50's Soc Hop. It was a lot of fun and we even won some great camping stuff in the silent auction!

I wasn't kidding!

The snow is now sticking! We let the boys out for a few minutes to play. Mean Mommy made them come back in until there's enough to really play in. It's too cold for me to stay out there--LOL! Here's a few pics--what an exciting evening :)

Ok--I started to post this last night, but for some reason, my camera wouldn't download to the computer. Worked this morning though. Here's the pictures I took last night. Most of it melted a few hours later, but there's still a little on the grass and the rooftops. Now I just need to drag them out in the cold to take "fall" pictures before the leaves all drop from the cold :)

It's SNOWING!

Yes, barely into October and it's snowing outside!! It's 40 degrees, so it's not sticking, but my guess is that it might be soon. The boys are super excited :) I'm a little worried about what kind of winter we're going to have if it's snowing in October. It is a Friday though, so I'll enjoy the fact that I won't have to driver in it if it does stick.

What a perfect time to share the Christmas cards I made last weekend! I planned on posting them sooner, but we had a busy week. My sister came for a surprise visit. She had some unexpected days off, so she came to see us. We had a girls night Wednesday and went to see Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist--cute movie. Then last night we had a family dinner, so my evenings have been booked. It was great to see her though. Last night we looked at a few houses for sale on my street. She's hoping to get a job she put in for here, and then we could be neighbors--how great would that be?!

Without any further ado, here are the cards:

These use CTMH's Evensong Creative Basics paper and various stamp sets

These are CTMH's Aspen papers. Some use stamps and some use the Aspen Stickease.

I had a couple more cards that I made, but I guess I didn't take pictures of them. Oh well--more to post later.

My hero...

Mike gets major points this weekend! Yesterday he found my camera charger--WOOHOO!!! Somehow, it ended up in one of the boxes still in our bedroom. I have no idea how it got in there. I have no idea if it was one of the kiddos or I had it on top of the dresser and it fell in or what--either way, I'm happy! I was so worried I was going to have to buy a new one. The leaves are changing and I did NOT want to miss taking fall shots. I'm a little bummed that I didn't have my camera for the trip to the zoo and park on Friday, but that's ok.

We've had such a nice weekend, even though the weather has been rainy. Yesterday, we met up with my parents and went to the home show. Didn't see much, but I did meet an Uppercase Living consultant, so I think I'm going to have a party soon. I have so many ideas for things I want to do with this house to make it home. Then the kiddos stayed the night at Grandma's, so Mike and I went to see Batman (finally!) and had a relaxing evening. Then this morning we actually got to sleep in and then go out to breakfast--what a luxury :)

Here's a couple cards I made for October's SOTM swap. I had a tough time with this set and these cards go in the "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again" category. I was trying to come up with a fun "bookmark" card, but it just wasn't working for me. I kept adding and changing, but couldn't get it to look the way I pictured it in my head.

I tried in chocolate.

I tried in black.

Finally, I gave up and started over. I like this card, even if it wasn't what I had in mind. I embossed the frame in black, and felt like it really made the card. I pop-dotted both frames for a 3-d look as well. I used Notebook papers and the October Stamp of the Month for all the cards.

I've been working on some Christmas cards, so I'll post those later. I'll try to get a pic of my new haircut too. I'm just doing the happy dance that I got my camera back :)

Still no pictures, but a new look

I went and cut off all my hair on Monday! I've been waiting a long time to do it. I wanted to grow out my hair so that I could donate it to Locks of Love. I cut off 14 inches!! I am loving my short hair. Plus, I feel really good about being able to do something for someone else. I didn't take any "before" pictures, but hopefully soon I'll be able to share an after picture and a picture of the lock of hair. I think I'm going to have to break down and buy a new charger though :(

In other news, Austin and I have no school tomorrow, so I'm going to take the boys to the zoo if it's nice or (more than likely) to the Discovery Center if it's rainy. It's pretty gloomy out now, so I think we'd better plan on the second option. I am looking forward to it either way. Then the boys are spending the night at Grandma's on Saturday, so that will be fun for Mike and I. We might finally get to go see Batman--LOL!

Well, I'm going to sign off for now. I'm hoping that Grey's will still be on after the debate--fingers crossed! I'll leave you with some OLD Fall cards I found on my computer--I think from two years ago. Not new, but new to some of you :)
