Sugar Rush

I know, I haven't posted on here in almost a year. I'm going to try to be better about posting what I'm creating again. Life just gets so busy, but I'm making it one of my goals this year. Over the next week, I'll be posting some of the fun projects I did over Christmas break, and our unexpected snow days.

It's certainly a winter wonderland of snow around here. We haven't seen this much snow since the 1980s, so it's been causing a lot of problems. We ended up having three snow days this week. We went back to school Tuesday after the break, and then we were out the rest of the week. It is beautiful, though!





I haven't even left the house since Tuesday. The boys and I have been holed up where it's warm.
I had some fun creating. 




 These cards and pages use the new CTMH Sugar Rush kit. This kit just makes me happy! This is what we'll be creating for my January Club--three layouts and 9 cards.






We're supposed to get 3-6 more inches today and possibly 1-3 more tomorrow,  so there might even be more creating in my future!

Use Your Stash Blog Hop Ribbon

This month we are using up ribbon. I've had a few CTMH ribbons that are long retired that I decided to put to good use.

This first uses Zoe papers and the Spring Critters stamp set. I also used Sorbet ribbon. I just adore this little frog!

Use Your Stash Blog Hop Patterned Paper

The theme for Use Your Stash this month is patterned paper.  I wish I would have had a chance to use up more of my stash, but with the end of the semester and two boys in basketball, there hasn't been a lot of time to squeeze in crafting.  I did manage a couple of cards with Zoe papers and a two  M size stamps.  I stamped the balloons on patterned paper to use even more patterns.

Use Your Stash Blog Hop--Colors of Thanksgiving

Use Your Stash National Poet's Day

Hello!

This month we are celebrating poetry.  I decided to use a quote from one of my favorite poets, Maya Angelou.  It is so perfect for thank you cards.  I also have this beautiful quote up in my classroom.
If you can't read the card, it says, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

 
 
In true using up my stash form, I used up some of our old paper flowers, sparkles, and retiring Paper Fundamentals.  The shaped card was a little hard to photograph well. 
 
Time got away from me these last two weeks.  I wanted to create more cards for this theme, since I have lots of quote and poem stamps, but back to school is overwhelming.  We started Tuesday, so I've pretty much been living at the school!  Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to make a few more.
