Cousins Studio J Layout

This was a layout from our trip to Pennsylvania last year. I still haven't had a chance to scrap that trip. Using Studio J made it so quick and easy. It took my about 40 minutes from loading photos to adding final embellishments. Plus, no mess to clean up :)
The papers were from Animal Cookies. I loved the bright colors and thought they matched the outdoor photos well.

New Years Studio J Layout

This is one of my favorite Brendan stories. He was so excited to stay up for New Year's. He couldn't wait to "toast" in the new year. At midnight, we had sparkling cider and toasted each other. Brendan kept asking for his toast. We tried to explain that you toast by clinking your glasses together. He didn't understand and demanded his "toast with butter!" I think we started a new tradition.
I loved how this layout had room to create a large journaling block to tell the story. I used Game On papers and switched out all the sports papers for the ones that fit my theme.

Loving Studio J

Been playing with Close TO My Heart's new Studio J program for the last couple weeks. I love how easy it is to use. I just ordered my first set of layouts, and I am eager to see how they turn out. In the meantime, I will share the layouts in "preview" mode.

This first one is from Christmas break. We went tubing along with my mom, sister, both brothers, and my brother's girlfriend. It was tons of fun. I love that I was able to use the same Aspen kit that comes in regular paper for the digital layout. I could have used the software to see how I wanted to lay it all out and created it as a regular layout with paper and embellishments, or in this case, just print it out and have it sent to me.

I'm still playing with saving them from the site, so I apologize for the small picture.

Just Back From Sunny California

We just got gome from a wonderful week in California. Highlights from our trip were my grandpa's 86th birthday party and a trip to Disneyland. We had a great time. We also got to see lots of family and friends. Thank you to everyone who made our trip so much fun :)

Topstitch Card Workshop

I know I've said it before, but I love these Workshop on the Go kits! I just finished the cards from the Topstitch kit. Too cute. It's been a while since I've done any stitching on a card, so it took me longer than I thought. They were all love cards, but I changed them up for different purposes. I like the soft colors.

I also cut everything for a set of 16 Veranda cards. Hopefully I'll get those finished up this week in between grading papers for the end of the quarter and getting ready for our trip to CA next Saturday. Busy, busy, but it feels great to be creating again.

Veranda Cards

I can't claim too much credit for these cards. I took them straight from the Veranda Workshop on the Go. I love the cards though. They are elegant and understated. I love the CTMH Workshop on The GO program. You get the paper stamps and embellishments included with the instructions for making the projects. I love that it gives you options for cards and pages. Plus, the new card pattern in each one is a bonus! All three cards are from the same pattern, just tweaked differently.
If you don't live close, and are interested in ordering a WOTG for yourself, check out my site www.moments2treasure.myctmh.com. Under online shopping, type workshop into the search for all available workshops.

Birthday Sweets

I had a chance to create a couple cards yesterday afternoon. I'm really trying hard to find time a couple days a week to work on creative endeavers. Sadly, I'm so out of practice that it takes me forever to come up with even a few ideas. I watched three episodes of Grey's Anatomy while making these TWO cards. Of course, I did find myself stopping to watch a little too often. Maybe I'd better stick with Friends while I craft. I've seen all of those episodes enough times to just listen.

Anyway, the cards used Piece of Cake stamps. The colors are Hollyhock and Juniper, two colors I've never used together before. I used the Swiss Dots folder on my Cuttlebug for the background. It's hard to tell, but there are sparkles and Stickles on the cupcakes and stand.
We rented 2012 last night. Austin loves disasters He's always checking out books on earthquakes and tornados and the like. He loves the movie Twister, so we figured he's like it. Afterward, he said it was scary. He told me there was just "too much disaster" in that movie. He was really freaked out about the super volcano under Yellowstone. He asked a whole bunch of questions. He's never liked volcanos, so I guess there goes any chance of headed to Yellowstone this summer--lol!

Belated Christmas Thank Yous

Here are some of the Christmas Thank Yous I made a while back. I work with such wonderfully generous students and families that I had to make 60+ cards. I used Jingle papers and a variety of stamp sets.

Jingle Workshop

I love these cards because even though they use "Christmas" papers, they are great for birthday any time.
