Use Your Stash Blog Hop--Colors of Thanksgiving
Welcome! You should have arrived from Anna's blog.
This month we are using up our fall colors. I LOVE fall colors, so this is perfect. I used several retired papers, as well as the brand new Sangria.
This first one uses Huntington papers and Stickease and the stamp set You Mean the World to Me.
The last two use papers from a few years ago, Dreamin'.

Use Your Stash National Poet's Day
Hello!
You should have arrived from Pricilla's blog.
This month we are celebrating poetry. I decided to use a quote from one of my favorite poets, Maya Angelou. It is so perfect for thank you cards. I also have this beautiful quote up in my classroom.
If you can't read the card, it says, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

In true using up my stash form, I used up some of our old paper flowers, sparkles, and retiring Paper Fundamentals. The shaped card was a little hard to photograph well.
Time got away from me these last two weeks. I wanted to create more cards for this theme, since I have lots of quote and poem stamps, but back to school is overwhelming. We started Tuesday, so I've pretty much been living at the school! Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to make a few more.

Use Your Stash Red White and Blue

This month's theme was to use three colors on a project. In keeping with the Use Your Stash idea, I pulled out some older papers and stamps for the challenge.Card #1 uses Surf's Up papers and Under the Sea stamps
Card #2 Is a really old pack, Magnifique and the stamp set from the Avonlea card kit. It's still one of my favorite thank you stamps.
Card #3 Uses Chalk it Up papers and Picture My Life card. These are from the current catalog and are available while supplies last.
Card #4 Uses Heartstrings paper and Stickease also about to retire.

Use Your Stash Blog hop--Water(color) Fun
Thanks for joining us on the Use Your Stash Blog Hop! If you are hopping along with us, you should be coming from Janet's blog.
This month's theme was to color. Love the look of coloring, but don't take the time to do it as often as I should. It worked out perfectly that this month's Stamp of the Month, Ice Cream Dream, was an outline set. I love the set and used this opportunity to color with my Copics and Shinhan markers.
For these first two, I used the stamp set along with the SOTM.
Colors: Pear, Sunset, and Star Spangled Blue (retired)
This one used Pixie, Glacier, and Thistle.
For the last two cards, I used the Paper Fundamentals papers in Whimsy palette.

Summer Fun
The boys and I were talking about making sure we didn't waste our summer, so we decided to make lists of what we wanted to do. I was feeling creative, so I got out my art pens and colored pencils. This was my result. I may not have advanced art skills, but I do love to doodle. Reminds me of the elaborate notes I used to create for my friends back in the days before email, social media, and texting ;)

Blossom Layouts
Blossom layouts from May Club. We used Blossom papers, Stickease, and embellishments. I love the bright summer colors. I'm sorry for the poor lighting. It was storming when I took this, so natural light was not there.
I actually borrowed this layout from my uplink, Michelle Snyder. She's awesome, and I just fell in love with the layout!

Teacher Gifts Inspired by Taste of Summer
I wanted to do something special for the boys' teachers this year, and I found the idea for "Orange you glad it's summer" on Pinterest. It worked perfectly with CTMH's June special, Taste of Summer. I found the gift buckets and a few items at Dollar Tree. The rest I made or purchased at various stores.
For each basket, I made a set of 5 cards and the big card using Taste of Summer papers and stamps.
Here's an up close shot of some of the goodies. Each one had a cup, orange slices, Trident, bubbles, a popsicle notepad, a Reese's, cards, a gift card, and beverages. Of course, I added an orange lei for fun.

This month we are showcasing stamp sets we haven't used. I have a few projects with a combination of old and new stamps. The first card uses the new Blossom papers. It was inspired by a card I saw from Patricia
I used a brand new stamp set I just bought, the new Operation Smile stamp set, Happy Everything. When you purchase this set, Close To My Heart will donate $3 to Operation Smile. I have a feeling this is going to be one of my go-to sets!
I also used a really old stamp set, A Posey. I've had this stamp set forever and never used it. I thought it worked perfectly with the Blossom paper.
For my second project I wanted to do some random stamping for background paper. I started with one sheet, and cut it up.
I made the cards using the Chalk It Up Picture My Life cards.
The stamp sets I used were Geek is Chic and LOL. I bought these stamps when the Annual Inspirations book came out, but hadn't used them. As a teacher, I thought I'd get a lot of use out of them, but they've sat there collecting dust. The "Happy Birthday" is from the Operation Smile set.

Snowhaven--34 Thank You Cards From One Pack of Paper
I needed to make a bunch of thank you cards for all my wonderful students, as well as my family. I wanted them to have a wintery, but not Christmasy feel, so I turned to the Snowhaven papers. I love that these papers just feel like a crazy sweater to me. I also wanted to keep it simple so I used two image stamps (polar bears) and two thank you sentiments. The polar bears were from the October SOTM, Home For the Holidays and Polar Bear Holiday.
I did use white card bases to make my paper stretch further. They were 4x51/2, which allowed me to use more B & T on each card. I kept them to a couple of designs, only changing up the papers. There is an awesome striped sheet that I cut up and used. I didn't show all 34 because I had a lot of multiples.
I loved the results. Even more I loved that I could have so much variety and still keep it simple.
