When am I not busy? Some of you have asked, and yes, we are still pursuing the move to Idaho, and no we haven't heard anything yet. In the meantime, I've applied to re-instate my Idaho Teaching Credential and am in the process of getting my application in order. I can't really do much else until my credential goes through. If I can get a teaching position soon, then Mike can, inaddition to his application for the position in Boise, also apply for a forced transfer if I have a job up there. Still keeping those fingers crossed.
In the meantime, I finished a couple of fun projectws over the weekend. The first is my first ever knitting poject--this scarf. I finished it Friday night. I still can't believe I learned to knit on Thursday and finished a scarf Friday night--wowsa! Of course I have a few spots in the scarf that aren't as pretty as I'd like, and I'm not anywhere near ready to move onto anything that involves actual measurements, but it's a start!
Yesterday I completed a project I've been wanting to try ever since I went to Las Vegas for CTMH Regionals last month. This lady had a purse that she made that was so stinkin' cute. I think her name was Judy, but I'm not sure. She told me the basics of making one and I had to try it. Mine is nowhere near as cute as hers, but I like it. The papers/stickease are CTMH's Floral Tapestry kit. Not my favorite paper, but I had bought a black purse handle and all the other papers I love have brown in them, so that would have bugged me.
If I ever try this project again, I want to find come kind of spiral binding for the bottom because lacing all that ribbon was tedious. I cut all the holes with my Bind It All.
I also got my new green itty bitty bug on Friday. I have been seeing so many cute Cuttlebug cards that I finally had to buy one! I only have two embossing folders for it though, so I need to find a few more. I've played some, but haven't finished any cards yet. I'm hoping to post some soon :)

Wow, a scarf and in just one day! You are bound to be a knitting pro!! I made a lopey sweater when I was in high school and I bet I haven't knit a thing since! I love your purse too! I can see how threading that ribbon all the way around would be tiring but the end result was well worth it!!
Good luck on the job front!!

LOVE the scarf! You did a great job! It is so cute. So did you learn the knit stich and the purl? Once you can do both there's no stopping you! Can't wait to see your next project.

I love the purse! It turned out cute. So did your scarf. Thanks for the comment and making me feel better. I think it just makes me sad, because I think it would of been different if my mom were still here. But again, thanks for the love and encouragement! Have a great day.
wow, you are creative!! I love your creation. Thank you for your nice comments about my dd, she is cute and naughty:-)
oh my gosh - you learned to knit one day and make a beautiful scarf the next - awesome!!! It looks beautiful! It sounds like something I would do and then I'd buy a bunch of yarn and not knit again for two years. :) And, the purse is darling. great job!
Well done on the completion of the scarf, you have done so well! Love the bag too, it is so pretty!
