Happy Valentine's Day--a little late

We had a fun, family Valentine's Day yesterday. We went out to lunch (was supposed to be breakfast, but we got a late start), then went to Target to let Austin spend some of his birthday money. Legos were the popular item this year. He also bought Madagascar 2, so last night we popped up popcorn and cuddled up to watch it. Nice and relaxing. Today, we're headed to Chuck E Cheese's for more birthday fun.
This picture was taken Wednesday at Austin's birthday dinner at the Spaghetti Factory (our FAVORITE place to eat!). I just can't believe he's seven already. Where does the time go?!?!

Here's a few valentines we've made this week:

For Mike--I used CTMH's Heartfelt set. Colors were Baby Pink and Black. This was a scraplift from last year's Idea Book.
This one was for a friend of mine--I used CTMH Perfect Day papers, February Word Puzzle Stamps and my Cuttlebug for the background hearts.
These were the Valentine's we made for the kids' classes. The stamps are Life's a Jungle and February Word Puzzle. They have Tootsie Pops inside. I wanted to keep them ultra simple since we made 20 for Brendan's class and 22 for Austin's.
I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day spent with those you love!

No New Artwork

Haven't had any time this week. I'm hoping to work on valentines with the kids later, so maybe I'll have something to post tonight. It's been busy here, but I feel very loved this week. Friday night was my birthday, so my mom watched the boys and Mike took me out for a FABULOUS dinner!! We went to The Melting Pot, which is a fondue place downtown, and it was absolutely to die for. You start out with veggies, apples and bread to dip into hot cheese. Then the next course is salad, followed by a divine main course: Fillet Mignon, salmon, pork, chicken and shrimp, with all kinds of dipping sauces. Finally, a decedent dessert of strawberries, cheesecake, marshmallows, pound cake, and brownies with white and dark chocolate for dipping. I thought they were going to have to roll us out of there--LOL! While it was utterly divine, it will definitely be a once in a while treat--with a bill that was $100 before tip, we don't have the $$ to do that very often.

In addition to dinner, Mike spoiled me even more. These are the gorgeous flowers he sent me at work.

Then for gifts, they got me a new lens for my SLR camera, Cooking Mama for Wii, and of course, a Snuggi. If you missed the giggles about these, I blogged about them here. No more hands trapped inside my blanket--LOL.

Oh, and I want to thank everyone who has sent cards--I really appreciate the love :) Here are some gorgeous hand made ones I've received. The top left one was from Kim McCall--a good friend and talented CTMH consultant. The top right was from Sparkle--gorgeous as always. Carmen made the bottom one--it is stunning in person--shimmers in the light. She sent it all the way from Switzerland, too :) Thanks girls!

Took this picture Wednesday night--Austin was making a "sports trail" that would lead his brother to his hiding spot. What will the child think of next?!

The rest of our weekend has been fairly relaxing. Today we went over to my school for a pancake breakfast. The boys had fun playing with the Smart Board in my room, and Austin is excited to be attending that school next year. I think it will be a good fit for him.

Off to have something to eat and work on some valentines with the kids. Have a great week.

Ahhh...Summer Days

Trying to stay warm here, I scrapped these pics of the boys from last summer. I thought the colors in the new Stardust pack from CTMH matched the pictures perfectly! Not ready for the heat of summer, but I would love a little warmer temperatures :)

Here's a few more pictures I took yesterday and today. I can't decide which picture to use for 365. The one of Mike and I was taken by Brendan, and I love that you can see it is from a 3 year old perspective. However, I also love the one of Austin and I in our scarves. The Special Olympics are being held in Idaho this year. They had a surplus of scarves (thousands of extras) donated, so they gave them to schools so teachers and students could show their support. Austin was very excited that we're the only two in the family that had them. We even got a compliment last night at dinner from some high school kids who told us they loved that we were wearing the scarves :)

Today's pic is the boys playing Mario Kart. I love the intense concentration on their faces.
