in just 4 weeks! Mike found out this morning. The scary part is that it will be sometime before June 9th, which is only a few weeks away. I don't even know what to feel. I'm excited, sad, nervous, scared and most of all stressed. Mostly, this morning, I just want to throw up! They called Mike this morning and gave him the news, now they are trying to figure out the details. They want him to go on a training from June 9th-June 20th in DC, but he has to be an employee of their district by then to do it. So that means we have to make it happen before then.
I've spent the morning on the computer and on the phone. The amount of money it's going to cost us to move is mind-blowing. I don't know how we're going to do it, but we'll figure it out. This is what I've wanted for so long, but it's happening so fast. We need to move, get this house ready to rent, figure things out with the management company--Yikes.
I sent off my application to teach last Tuesday, so hopefully I'll get called for an interview soon. That will mean a trip up there, but it will all be worth it once we get settled up there. I don't know how much I'll be on the next few weeks as I try to get everything ready. Life will be crazy, but I'll keep everyone updated. I look around and don't even know where to start.
In the meantime, don't forget about the blog candy here.

Sounds stressful, but I am sure everything will fall into place for you, too. Congrats to you and your DH. I know you will be happy when it all settles down. Maybe you will be closer to me, and we could meet sometime. Woohoo, welcome back **soon** to PA. :) Kel
Yeah! I'm so happy for you! Looks like you had a fun open house, minus the water. Good luck with the packing. And yeah- you'll be closer to me. :)
We're moving in a month too, it just sort of happened. Funny how life does that ;) YES it's expensive! Good grief! Can he get any kind of signing bonus or moving allowance?
As for where to start - I always start with winter clothes. Then books. And pack a first-night box with clean sheets for all the beds, toothbrushes, toothpaste, contact solution, etc. TOILET PAPER ;) Everything you need to get you through the first night so you can be well-rested for the next big day of unpacking to find everything else. GOOD LUCK!
We in the DC area are you moving to? I work in DC and live in the MD suburbs.
I hope all goes well!! Just think in a few months you'll be all settled in your new place. Wishing you super mom speed for the packing and lots of help! Good luck with your move!
